“So what is this homeopathy about?” is a question I’m often asked.  If we are in a social setting, I usually respond with what I jokingly refer to as my “elevator speech:” a 30-second or so overview:  “Homeopathy is a form of alternative medicine that has been around for more than 200 years and was originally formulated in Germany (so it is Western in orientation).  People who come to me often have tried other ways of treating their health problems which haven’t been satisfactory so they are looking for choices.  With homeopathy we look at the whole person and seek to help their body heal itself.  We do this by using homeopathic remedies or medications which are prepared in homeopathic pharmacies licensed by the FDA.”
